How we read the cards

We use the classic 1909 deck, illustrated by Pamela Colman Smith. Its imagery is in the public domain, and every scan you see here has documented provenance. The illustrator is named because her work deserves it.

Every spread is born from a shuffle you perform yourself: you breathe, shuffle, cut and choose. The same cards appear again whenever the same link is opened, always. Nothing is adjusted afterward to please you.

The meanings were written by hand, in English and in Spanish, drawing on tarot tradition and on the images themselves. A reading weaves those voices together: the position, the card, your question, and what keeps returning in your journal.

Your birth chart is calculated from the real sky of the moment you were born. When you do not know your exact time, the rising sign and houses stay quiet instead of being invented.

Birthplaces come from GeoNames.org (CC BY 4.0) and are searched on your own device. Your birthplace never leaves your browser.

About the shuffle, with no false mystery: when you begin a reading, a unique seed is born, and that seed orders all 78 cards at once, before you choose. That is why your link always shows the same cards: the shuffle happened once, in your moment, and was sealed. No card is picked afterwards to please you or to frighten you.

The cards do not decide for you. They show you where to look.
